though it is much cheaper than the m5000, the m500 is an excellent trainer and simulates all of the flight experience of the same type and scale of the real aircraft. the m500 is an ideal way for those who want to train or learn about the systems of larger airplanes. although it has a rather limited trim capacity, it can be trimmed almost all of the way to the trim position of the real aircraft. the m500 is a basic, one-piece model with no noticeable broken features and it even possesses some realistic features such as the ability to drop the wheels. the m500 is a good way to get your feet wet or develop flying skills in the air.

the aircraft looks terrific, the carenado s/ii only lacks the aerosoft falcon, a generally superior product (which i use) which lacks a 3d engine. a simplified version of the carenado s/ii could be a great success that could attract more pilots to virtual aviation.

the e50p is capable of 10,000 feet climb in less than two minutes at 107 kias. the carenado spz-500 will climb to 10,000 feet in 2.5 minutes at 110 kias. the slow run and slow climb gives the airplane its strength. the same power/weight ratio drives the airplane so the aircraft does not feel tipsy on the dash. the citation s/ii, like the e50p phenom 300, has great visibility from the cockpit. the s/ii and the e50p, despite the dual flight controls at the left side of the panel, are very stable as the airplane will not tip over or yaw. while flying the s/ii the panels are clearly visible and even reading the ground-speed indication is a snap.

the little s/ii cruises smoothly through a gentle crosswind of 10 knots with almost zero buffeting and vibration. (at 10,000 feet of cruise altitude, the s/ii is no longer able to deal with 10-knot crosswinds.) passing through 8,000 feet in 3.0 minutes the citation s/ii cruises comfortably in level flight at 115 kias. by 10,000 feet it is much more likely to experience wind buffeting. the e50p phenom 300 was a little sluggish as we enter our cruise and settle into a comfortable 116 kias. the carenado s/ii balances well and is more responsive than the e50p. the carenado s/ii continues to cruise a smooth at 115 kias with the slow throttle and the vitals reveal that all systems are performing as expected. even though the aircraft is a little sluggish, the e50p can be made to fly at very low throttle. by the time we have cruised through 10,000 feet in 3.5 minutes the aircraft’s vitals are operating properly and that efficiency is without force
